Business Development/Job Coach Full Time

Auckland Business Chamber delivers two highly successful employment programmes in Tauranga, Rotorua and Whakatane.  CadetMax which works with young people from the area to prepare them for employment, find them career opportunities, address skill gaps and provide post-employment mentoring support and Ready to Role a programme to support adults getting back into the labour market.

We have a role available for an experienced BDM/Job Coach who is keen to use their talent to support both youth starting their careers and those adults entering back into the workforce.  This vital role involves engaging with the business community to source entry level job opportunities and mentoring people during their job search.  You will be expected to engage with businesses, community, youth, government agencies to provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.

The successful candidate will:

Demonstrated ability to build relationships with businesses specifically in staff recruitment
A passion for supporting youth and recognition of the value of employment
Target driven and enjoy meeting KPI’s
High level of initiative with a practical and pragmatic approach
Administratively savvy with MS Outlook, Word and Excel
Energetic and enjoy persuading and motivating people
A strong work history with excellent knowledge of NZ workplace norms
Candidates must have:

Full, clean drivers license and reliable car
Be prepared to travel between Tauranga, Rotorua and Whakatane
Ability to work with a high level of autonomy (home office) and integrity
Provide a clean criminal clearance check
Right to work in New Zealand
