Warehouse Coordinator Full Time

We are looking to expand our small team and are seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to take full control in our Warehouse. We are a family owned company experiencing huge growth and our employees are growing with us. Our current warehouse person is transitioning into an office position as part of their own personal development. We offer a friendly environment and a happy workplace.

You will be in charge of overseeing the daily, overall operations within our warehouse. You will have a variety of responsibilities that relate to coordinating our warehouse. Some typical responsibilities include:

• controlling warehouse inventory
• coordinating the movement of the product
• overseeing the product from ordering to shipping
• maintaining inventory
• documenting all actions
• maintaining stock in database
• accomplishing distribution missions
• storing items in an orderly manner
• packing and unpacking items
• disposing of defective items
• cleaning and maintaining supplies if necessary
• ensuring compliance with safety regulations
• marking stock items with tags and stamps
• providing assistance to other employees
• determining proper storage methods
• issuing and distributing materials
• distributing products and parts to customers and coworkers
• purchasing new and additional materials
• preparing inventory reports
• conferring with purchasing vendors regarding availability of products
• compiling and reviewing data regarding orders
• and assisting coworkers in any way necessary
• container de-vanning

This position requires a person who is able to make quick judgments and sound decisions regarding inventory, is adept in complex problems solving, and is an expert with time management skills. This person should possess strong natural leadership skills and the ability to multitask.

What you will need:

• Physical fitness – this role will involve plenty of moving on your feet and heavy lifting
• A current forklift licence
• Reach truck experience would be an advantage, as would MPI accreditation
• A positive attitude with great communication skills and a love of strong teamwork – we’re all a part of it together
• Ability to prioritise and plan to meet customer commitments
• Solid understanding of warehouse health and safety practices
• Confirmed ability to work in NZ (citizenship, residency, up to date visa)
• Able to work overtime as and when needed
