Travel Agency Manager Full Time

Warm Travel is a tour company specializing in the small group travel around New Zealand. We offer premium touring and customized touring services to cater for the small group of customers.

In the challenging times over the past few months, tourism industry in particular is facing both challenges and opportunities. We believe that it will give our company a chance, so we are looking for a manager to lead our company and keep the business grow.

You will have enough autonomy and the opportunity to host the show as you do. The ideal candidate will love to work in a fast-paced working environment, be able to work fast and smart, be open, and loving new technology. Must be available at weekends and outside of ‘normal’ business hours as and when required. This role is not well suited for someone looking to settle into a 9-5 business as usual style.

The following attributes are required:

• Management experience in the tourism industry with a sound knowledge of the New Zealand region
• Operating experience in OTA (Online Travel Agencies) and capability to set up/run our online shop will be a huge advantage
• A sharp insight and proactive vision of marketing, and good communication skills to develop new relationships with partners and suppliers
• Be able to work autonomously and self-motivated
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on collaboration and leading by example
• Attention to detail, highly organized, and able to motivate co-workers
• Speaking Mandarin is advantageous
• Level 7 or higher qualification is essential. Tourism related qualification is preferred

Your duties will include:

• Analyzing the dynamic situation of tourism industry, developing new strategies and determining service standards
• Undertaking budgeting of each year, maintaining financial records, setting up a goal of profiting and achieving it
• Implementing new plans for business growing and developing new marketing areas
• Optimizing overall tourism products to improve customers’ experience
• Promoting the Warm Travel brand and services in contemporary media contexts
• Dealing with service matters and customer complaints
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations

This role will require someone who can be flexible regarding days and working hours, particularly during the peak of tour season from September to May, in order to deliver a premium customer service experience
